TRUMP'S SUCCESS INFURTIATES DEMOCRATS, LEFTISTS WITH TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME
It is said, quite accurately, that if you are young and not a liberal then you have no heart. I know that for a fact. When I was young I had no heart. I was a liberal. The corollary is that if you are old and still a liberal /progressive with a heart then you may have no brains. I think I had brains. Greed and selfishness eventually prevailed. That’s human nature and reality – unless you’re a Socialist. Then the world is a fantasy.
But there is a humungous aberration – namely: those afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). This is an utterly incurable lifelong non-fatal disease that robs the victim’s existence of all joy and insures daily misery. Every day that Donald Trump is president – and about 1,280 remain – is abject pain and suffering. The diagnoses of TDS (or its root causes) range from neurotic to psychotic to pathological.
A neurotic is defined as somebody with acute anxiety, compulsions, obsessions and/or depression – who’s totally fixated on themselves and their (horrific) world perception. That sounds right. A psychotic is somebody totally detached from reality, mentally disorganized and functionally impaired. That also sounds about right. And pathological – as in sociopath or pathological liar – is somebody driven by compulsion, who knows not right from wrong nor true from false but only what is good or bad for themself.
That’s the Democrats in the World of Trump: A bunch of chronically unhappy yapping children.
But other than that, and I mean this sincerely, they’re just swell human beings. Dorks like Tim Walz, Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries really make this world a better place.
As one of my Leftist pseudo-environmentalist tax-avoiding relatives moaned: “He’s (Trump) doing so much damage.” Damn right he is. That’s exactly why he got elected. He’s undoing the damage of Biden-Harris. He’s succeeding very quickly. And ANY Trump SUCCESS is absolutely intolerable for those with TDS and for the news media, including CNN, MSNBC and legacies ABC, CBS and NBC.
My relative and the vicious, venal Trump-haters everywhere cannot and will not acknowledge that he can do ANYTHING right. He must FAIL. And the Leftist new media, which caters to them as their viewer base and revenue base, purposely propagandizes the news. They mischaracterize what he does and omit all that is pro-Trumpian.
July 20 will mark the end of Trump’s 6th month as president, so he’s 1/8th through his term. But the Trump-haters are still bogged-down in the proverbial Five-Stages-of-Grief: Those are Anger/Denial/Bargaining/Depression/Acceptance. Democrats are still wallowing in the Anger/Denial phase. They will never get to Acceptance.
They find utterly inexplicable that 77,302,580 Americans voted for Trump last year. They are angry and convinced those voters are STUPID and they are convinced Trump is a CLOWN who cannot and will not govern well. Psychologically, they so badly want and need Trump to FAIL that they want America to fail. That is just pathetic. Conversely, nobody on the Right had to root for Biden-Harris to fail. They did that all by themselves.
A defining moment in the Trump presidency was the July 3 passage of his so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” (BBB) with tax cuts and border funding. Republicans proved that they are America’s governing party. They have a 53/47 majority in the Senate and 219/212 in the House. The $3.8 trillion monstrosity expanded the national debt by $1 trillion, pushing it beyond $37 trillion. The respective votes were 51-49 and 218-214.
The Republicans/Trump have essentially surrendered on the deficit, which costs about $1.3 trillion a year in interest. This is money borrowed now to pay now and be repaid later. Americans care only about the here and now. Let taxpayers in 2045 pay for expenditures in 2025. Forget about paying it down or off.
But Trump DID DELIVER on his campaign promises. The BBB passed 51-49 and 218-214, so there was no hue and cry that Republicans failed. BBB included no taxes on tips, overtime and social security, permantizing Trump’s 2017 tax cuts, Medicaid “reforms” with work requirements, $45.6 billion to build the Wall and hire 10,000 more ICE agents to find and deport illegal aliens, and money for a Golden Dome missile defense.
Trump by executive order (FO) already closed the southern border with crossings plunging from 7,000/day to near zero; he banned boys in girl’s sports; banned transgender surgeries; scrubbed DEI; reopened oil drilling on government land and ANWR; restarted the XL pipeline; slashed Green New Deal “climate change” funding; resumed natural gas exports and imposed tariffs on nations which tariffed American products. The Left wailed: This will cause massive inflation and a recession, they said. It didn’t. Nothing happened.
The stock market is at the highest level ever. Inflation is at an annualized rate of 2.1 percent. The Fed’s Jerome Powell refuses to cut the prime rate under 6 percent so the housing market remains sluggish. But he will be termed-out next May and Trump will appoint a new Fed chairman. By next August housing sales will be stratospheric.
On foreign affairs Trump has brokered a Iran-Israeli ceasefire, essentially neutered Hezbollah, Hamas and the Houthis and made good on his promise of “no nukes” for Iran by sending 5 B-2 bombers 3,700 miles to stuff several 360-pound bombs down an air shaft. How about some High Fives for the U.S. military? Or maybe a Well Done?
Trump is a smart political strategist. He’s using his majorities while he has them. He’s playing to his base.
DEM COUNTY SLATING PREVIEW: Cook County Democrats will convene July 17-18 to finalize their 2026 county slate and endorse statewide candidates. According to key sources there will be no endorsement for the open U.S. Senate as no candidate – Raja Krishnamoorthi, Juliana Stratton, Robin Kelly – will get a vote majority.
Governor J.B. Pritzker, who is seeking re-election AND appartently running for president in 2028, has chosen Black South Side Chicago state rep Christian Mitchell as his lieutenant governor and they will be bracketed on the ballot together so there can be no primary for the LG spot now held by Stratton. He passed over Chicago city clerk Ana Valencia. Latina Comptroller Susana Mendoza has promised that she will not seek slating/re-election if she decides to run for Chicago mayor in 2027. We’ll know in a few days. If Mendoza bails the party will slate either Lincoln Park state rep Margaret Croke, a former top Pritzket aide, or Lake County treasurer Holly Kim, an Asian-American.
On the county slate 2nd District Board of Review commissioner Samantha Steele, who toyed with running for assessor against incumbent Fritz Kaegi, will get dumped. She had a really messy DUI last December and is now running for re-election to her BOR seat. The Dems will slate Liz Nicholson for that spot and Kaegi will be re-slated for a third term.
