SLEW OF POTENTIAL "HONORABLES" SEEK JUDGESHIPS

It is philosophized that life is mean, nasty and short. Being a judge in Cook County is the absolute obverse: Big pay, short hours, and lengthy tenure -- plus the perk of being obsequiously called "Your Honor." After 20 years on the bench, a judge can retire and collect 80% of his or her $190,000 salary as pension for life. Almost 30 judicial nominations will be on the 3/20/18 Democratic primary ballot, 10 countywide and 29 in the 15 subcircuits.
