OBAMA FALTERING IN OHIO, MICHIGAN, PENNSYLVANIA, ROMNEY COULD WIN

Can you say "President Romney"? In the last 100 years, only 4 presidents have failed to win a second term. Obama may be the fifth. Obama's 2008 win in 9 "battleground" states is now ancient history. VA, NC, FL, IN, IA and CO are gone. Ohio is teetering, and MI and PA are imploding. The "Obama Nation" -- 69.5 million strong in 2008 -- is in hibernation. Obama won't get more than 62 million votes. Here's a state-by-state analysis, with 2008/2012 comparisons.Full Article...

HOW COSTCO'S PHILOSOPHY APPLIES TO VOTING: MAKE THE DECISION EASY

Take it from the marketing wizards at Costco: Consumers loathe making decisions. The same applies to voting. It's easier to give the electorate a reason to vote against somebody than it is to vote for. Negativity works -- to a degree. In the 8th Dist., Joe Walsh is so toxic that negativity doesn't matter anymore. In the 10th Dist., blatant lies about Bob Dold have become counter-productive.Full Article...

"TIRESOME THREESOME" CONGRESSMEN FACE GROWING BLACK DISCONTENT

The "Tiresome Threesome" -- black Chicago congressmen Bobby Rush (D-1), Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-2) and Danny Davis (D-7) -- have become an impediment to the ambitions of a whole flock of younger black politicians, who view the job as a steppingstone to mayor, or higher. "Junior's" never-ending travails make a special 2nd District election likely, and Bob Shaw looks to be the compromise "placeholder" until the powers sort it out. The likely succession: Will Burns for Jackson; Kwame Raoul for Rush; and LaShawn Ford, Walter Burnett or Deborah Graham for Davis.Full Article...

WALSH VS. DUCKWORTH IS PABLUM AND POLEMICS

It's milking time in Illinois' 8th congressional district. Joe Walsh (R) is spewing forth polemics. Tammy Duckworth (D) is regurgitating pablum. Polls show Duckworth ahead 50-44%. Walsh has a great ground game. Duckworth could blow it, as she did in 2006.Full Article...

NETANYAHU'S DELAY ON NO "PRE-EMPTION" BOOSTS OBAMA

For Barack Obama, no "pre-emption" on Iran is good news. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's proclamation that he will not eradicate Iran's developing nuclear capability until 2013 means that Obama will not have a dislocating, gas-hiking crisis before Nov. 6. Middle-East Muslims, of which 90% are Sunni, hate Israel, but there's a lot of hatred among each other -- al-Qaeda, Taliban, Hamas, Hezbollah, Fatah (PLO), Muslim Brotherhood, ISI, LET. Remember this: 200 million Muslims surround Israel, which has 4.2 million Jews. Add an Iranian nuclear capability, and it's not a fair fight.Full Article...
