	Nadig Newspapers' Russ Stewart Named "Columnist of the Year"
	The Illinois Committee of Honest Government, at an October 10th awards ceremony, honored longtime Nadig Newspapers political writer Russ Stewart as the "Columnist of the Year." The award cited Stewart as "an institution on the Northwest Side," and noted his "unerringly accurate predictions" in political contests. Other honorees included Appellate Court Judge Anne Burke, U.S. Representative Jesse Jackson Jr., Chicago Aldermen Bernard Stone and Howard Brookins Jr., Cook County Commissioner Liz Gorman, Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Commissioner Frank Avila, and State Senator Dan Rutherford. Stewart, an attorney, has been writing a weekly political column since 1973.
	Russ Stewart is an accomplished Attorney, having practiced in Illinois courts since 1979. Mr. Stewart writes a weekly political column analyzing Chicago and Illinois politics for the Nadig Newspapers.
